Dirty Laundry Vineyard

The story of Dirty Laundry really is the story of Sam Sui, a Chinese immigrant who came over to help biuld the Canadian Pacific Railroad in the 1820's. After working on the railroad, Sam started a laundry service in Summerland, BC. He soon realized that the cattlemen and ranchmen of the Okanagan didn't care much for laundering their clothes, so he turned the upstairs of the laundry into a brothel and a gambling hall. It was said that the "Laundry" was done downstairs and the "Dirty" done upstairs - hence the beginning of Dirty Laundry.
